Dobčické Ponds
Just a short distance from České Budějovice, in the foothills of the Šumava mountains under the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area, you’ll find the Dobčické Ponds.
A natural park with ponds, pools, and wetlands covering an area of 70,000 m². Along with nature observation and fishing, you have the opportunity to embark on an adventure and spend a few nights in one of the unique cottages.
Recharge your energy and experience the lightness of being on the water's surface. The owners invite you to explore and share this preserved piece of nature, where their work with the landscape is based on four principles:
- Water: Natural water retention in the landscape, creating three ponds, two pools, and one wetland.
- Ecology: Establishing the Dobčické Ponds Association to support original ecosystems in the Dobčice–Záboří bio-corridor.
- Humans: Aiming to create, develop, and preserve, we believe humans are part of the local biodiversity.
- Heritage: Drawing from the wisdom of our ancestors to preserve values for future generations.
