Dub Castle near Prachatice
The first mention of Dub dates back to 1274. The current owners are restoring the entire complex, which was in a dire state after 1989 as former state property, and are happy to welcome visitors anytime.
The village of Dub, with its newly renovated castle built on the site of an older fortress, is located about 10 km north of Prachatice. The dominant castle building stands in a small park enclosed by a neo-Gothic wall, right next to the village square.
