Jewish Synagogue
The synagogue in Hluboká nad Vltavou is a remnant from the time of an independent Jewish community.
The building served as a synagogue from 1907 until the Nazi occupation. After World War II, it was used by the Czechoslovak (Hussite) Church, which purchased the building in 1960. In 1992, the independent religious community in Hluboká nad Vltavou was dissolved. From then on, the building deteriorated. In 2006, the Prague Diocese acquired the space and began necessary repairs. In 2013, the Hus House located in the former synagogue building was ceremoniously reopened.
Parking is available at a paid park-and-ride lot (Nad parkovištěm Street), from which it is an easy 400-meter walk to the synagogue.
