Dobrá Voda near Milejovice

The village of Milejovice, known locally as “Milivice,” is located just 5 kilometers from Volyně and borders Zdeněk Troška’s film village, Hoštice.

The church was built by the spring, from which the whole place takes its name — Dobrá Voda (Good Water). It is dedicated to the Queen of Heaven, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. A Way of the Cross with fourteen stations encircles the church.

According to legend, the spring water is healing and contains three times more radon than usual.

Below the Baroque chapel with the healing spring is another small chapel—more of a little church—with a Way of the Cross featuring painted stations. It is also dedicated to the Virgin Mary and was built in the 19th century with donations from Milejovice residents and parish communities of Hoštice, Paračov, Jinín, and other sponsors.
