Pilgrimage Church of Sepekov

Pilgrimage Church of Sepekov

Sepekov is one of the oldest settlements in northern South Bohemia.

The Church of the Virgin Mary is the landmark and most significant religious monument in Sepekov, located about 5 km from Milevsko. It is a majestic Baroque building from 1730–1733 showing signs of K. I. Dientzenhofer's influence. It was built on the site of a chapel said to have been founded by Abbot Jarloch.

Tours for pilgrim groups must be arranged at least 14 days in advance with Fr. Mikuláš (tel. 775 348 346). Individuals may enter the church half an hour before mass, without a guided tour. Visits without prior notice are not possible due to time and organizational constraints.
