Wax Museum
The Wax Museum focuses on famous personalities and the South Bohemian region. On more than 600 m², visitors can step into history – admire the craftsmanship of medieval trades in the cellar areas, absorb the atmosphere of an alchemist’s workshop and an old tavern, and visit the courts and closest circles of Czech kings and emperors such as Charles IV, Rudolf II, and Franz Joseph.

How to get there
The Wax Museum is located beneath the main square in the city centre at Kájovská Street No. 68, in a newly renovated Renaissance house. The centre is a pedestrian zone – cars can be parked at parking lot P1.

The mysterious cellar is a representation of a medieval town. You’ll have the chance to peek into an alchemist’s workshop or an old tavern. The entire atmosphere is enhanced by lighting and sound effects, making you feel as if you were walking through a 15th-century marketplace.
