Holašovice Cycling Route
The Holašovice cycling route starts in the village of Holašovice, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is an ideal choice for cycling enthusiasts and nature lovers. From Holašovice, you head along cycling route 1196 towards Chmelná. This route will take you through the beautiful Blanský Forest. Along the way, you will find a spring where you can refresh yourself or refill your water. Near the Bohouškovice hunting lodge, you will head towards the ruins of St. Vitus Church and then continue to the small village of Habří. From there, the route continues through Kvítkovice and Čakovice to Jankov, known for its well-preserved Baroque farmhouses and the St. Vitus Chapel. The whole loop will bring you back to the beautiful Holašovice, and you will have had a wonderful ride through the South Bohemian countryside. Due to its mild elevation, the route is easy to manage, making it ideal for families with children or less experienced cyclists.

Holašovice – A village heritage reserve and a unique example of rural Baroque from the 19th century, when original wooden buildings were rebuilt into brick houses with richly decorated gables, making Holašovice a unique European rural complex.
Holašovice Stonehenge – A megalithic circle made of granite stones created in 2008. It is located near Holašovice and is believed to have strong energetic power. The circle consists of 23 stones from the local area and is considered a place suitable for meditation.
Ruins of St. Vitus Church – About 1 km from Habří, there is a ruin of a church built in 1644 at a pilgrimage site with a miraculous spring. The church was dissolved under the rule of Joseph II, and today only a wall fragment with three windows remains. Next to it is also the St. Vitus Chapel.
St. Vitus Chapel in Jankov – A rural Baroque chapel from 1882, notable for its location on a gently sloping village square, making it the central element of the village. The chapel holds both historical and aesthetic value due to its decorated gable with the year and the stucco cross.
