Geocaching in the Novohradské Mountains – The Smuggler Trail
The Smuggler Trail will lead you to the highest peak of the Czech part of the Novohradské Mountains.
For everyone else, we’d like to introduce a new, fun way to spice up your hikes in the Novohradské Mountains. If you're encountering this activity for the first time, we recommend visiting the official website www.geocaching.com to learn more about the rules and principles of the game. For seasoned players, we’ll explain the minor variations we introduced in our "Novohradské hory" series.
Instead of individual geocache points, we created themed trails – five circuits, each containing three hidden caches. Each trail has its own name: Castle Trail, Noble Trail, Rock Trail, Peak Trail, and Smuggler Trail.
Let’s start with the last one – the Smuggler Trail.
