The route leads you along the Malše River valley, through the stunning Slepičí Mountains with their charming villages, to the highest peak – Kohout (869 m a.s.l.). In Velešín, don’t miss the ruins of Velešín Castle and the medieval “Kantůrkovec” house with a permanent exhibition of naïve paintings by the Šítal couple. At the Castles on the Malše Museum in Pořešín, you’ll find exhibits on ruined castles along the old trade route.
