Geocaching in the Novohradské and Doudlebské Regions
If you have already completed some of our hiking routes, this one might surprise you because it differs in many ways. Instead of a long half-day hike, this is a short 6 km trail that will také you no more than two hours to complete.
And instead of difficult terrain, it mostly follows wide or paved paths along the Trhovosvinensko Educational Trail. What doesn’t change, however, is that here too you can search for three hidden caches.
The starting point is the bus station in Trhové Sviny, which you can reach by bus or by car — parking is available there. We recommend completing the trail on foot, although bikes are also possible. You can even use a stroller on this route.
The caches are located here:
- First cache: Near the millrace above Buškův hammer (Buškův hamr). On the map, this spot is marked with a number.
- Second cache: Follow the educational trail along the Klenský stream, past Valcha and Trajer’s Mill (Trajerův mlýn). In the forest above the mill, you’ll find not only an educational panel but also, on the right side of the path near the coordinates (48.8260942N, 14.6243553E) / (48°49’33.93“N, 14°37’27.67“E), our second cache. This location is also marked on the map.
- Third cache: Hidden on the southern side of the Church of the Holy Trinity (Kostel Nejsvětější Trojice). On the map, this place is marked with a number.
