Route description

Starting at the Klostermann statue, head down the road toward Zuklín. After the football field, turn left onto a forest path that loops around Mount Javorník and leads you to the Krankoty saddle. There you join cycle route 1140, which takes you across a clearing below the Royal Stone (Královský kámen) and onto gravel paths around Žďánov. Exiting the woods on the Žďánov loop, turn left and continue mostly downhill along route 1140 to the crossroads of the former village of Žďánov. From there, continue along the same route to the destination – the royal Kašperk Castle.

Return along the same path to Žďánov, then take a left onto cycle route 1143. This path circles the Žďánov ridge from the other side – offering beautiful views of the countryside and Javorník. Below the Royal Stone, rejoin route 1140, which leads through the village of Tejmlov back to the starting point at the Klostermann statue.
