Route description
Your adventure begins with a long downhill ride from Javorník to Benešova Hora, where you barely need to pedal. Please prioritize your safety and don’t hesitate to use the brakes! Start on the lightly trafficked road toward Vacov. At the beginning of the first village, Bošice (nice viewpoint!), turn right onto a field path that leads you to the forest above Benešova Hora—called “Na Hradě.” The name refers to a solitary rock formation about 150 meters to the left in the woods. Without the surrounding forest, it would offer a beautiful view.
At the edge of the forest, turn left onto the forest path with a fairly steep descent (use your brakes!) that takes you into Benešova Hora. Continue through the village toward Vacov, and about 200 meters past it, at the crossroads, turn left toward Rohanov. Enter the village, cross the main Vacov–Javorník road, and continue straight on a narrow road until you reach your destination – the swimming pool in Rohanov.
The return to Javorník involves the “necessary evil” of climbing back to the start. But take your time—much of the way is a gentle to moderate incline through shaded deep forests along the eastern slope of the mountain. Just before the final climb, we recommend a relaxing stop at the romantic pond system called "u Biskupa".
