From Český Krumlov, you’ll reach Kájov and Chvalšiny with their Gothic churches after a few kilometers. Skirting the Boletice military area, you’ll continue through Ktiš and climb steadily to Zbytiny and the highest point of the trip – Libínské sedlo. A fast descent takes you to Prachatice, a town on the historic “Golden Salt Trail” used in the Middle Ages to transport salt (Renaissance centre, museum).
