From České Budějovice to Kleť
Road cycling combines speed, passion, and nature. Regardless of your experience level, this sport offers not only adrenaline but also the opportunity to connect socially with fellow cyclists. Get ready for a road adventure and enjoy the freedom of movement in the open air.
A relatively short but elevation-wise rather demanding ride begins along the cycle path to Boršov nad Vltavou, then continues through ancient villages to Zlatá Koruna, where the Cistercian monastery is well worth a visit. From the river, you’ll face an 11 km climb with a 600 m elevation gain that will take you to the summit of Kleť. At the top, you’ll find Josef’s Tower and Terezie’s Chalet from 1925, offering stunning panoramic views. Passing through Holašovice, a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its preserved folk Baroque architecture, you return to České Budějovice.
