EV 13 – Stage 6: From Slavonice to Drosendorf
EuroVelo 13 is the most thematically unique of all long-distance cycling routes in South Bohemia. It partly runs through Bavaria and Austria, and partly through the Czech Republic. The central theme of this cycling route is the former "Iron Curtain," which divided Europe for more than 40 years. This section is just a fragment of the over 10,000 km route stretching from Nordkapp to the Aegean Sea. Along the way, you'll encounter many reminders of this turbulent history — in small museums situated in nature, you can see relics and artifacts from this time, as well as remains from the interwar period.
The route described in this leaflet is approximately 347 km long, of medium difficulty, and suitable for trekking bikes.
