Golden Trail (Volyňka) – From the Source of the Volyňka to S
This route is a sort of side branch of the Otava cycling trail. If desired, it can be connected with the main route to create a beautiful multi-day loop through Šumava and its foothills. It follows the line of the former "Golden Trail", specifically the Vimperk branch. It begins at the river’s source and offers a journey through the picturesque foothills of the Bohemian Forest all the way to the medieval castle in Strakonice. With a total length of 47 km, it is a moderately demanding trip suitable for trekking bikes.
