Herb Village Mutišov
The front gardens of houses and public spaces in the village of Mutišov are arranged as themed gardens.
Mutišov became the first herb village in Bohemia under the EU project “Natural Gardens Without Borders.” Local residents contributed to beautifying public areas through natural gardening. This public herb village serves an educational purpose, with organized and themed areas. The private 0.5-hectare Bochníček Demonstration Natural Garden is also open to the public. During the season, visitors can purchase herb seedlings and related products (ointments, tinctures, herbal salts), as well as surplus produce from the garden, jams, and juices. Gourmets will appreciate Kryzan Farm, which offers milk and cow cheeses – including herbal varieties. Other local farmers sell meat, cracklings, lard, eggs, honey, and more homemade goods.
A trip to Mutišov is perfect for families with children. Both the village square and the Bochníček Demonstration Garden feature play areas. Take your time and enjoy the rural charm of Mutišov – a peaceful, car-free, and safe village in the picturesque Czech Canada region.
