Pilgrimage Museum in Římov
The museum is located in the former parish building and introduces visitors to the phenomenon of pilgrimage in an interactive way.
The village of Římov is an important South Bohemian pilgrimage site, so it is no surprise that in 2019 the Pilgrimage Museum was established here. The museum is situated in the building of the former rectory and presents the phenomenon that, even in the first half of the 20th century, attracted up to 50,000 pilgrims to Římov – all in an engaging, interactive format. Since the Church of the Holy Spirit and the entire Římov Way of the Cross will undergo major restoration in 2021, increased interest is expected not only in the Stations of the Cross and the church itself, but also in this newly established museum.
