Additional information
The exhibition is divided thematically, e.g. LEGO Architecture, LEGO Technic, LEGO Ideas, etc. Hundreds of original models from all over the world are on display, and more interesting, rare and exclusive pieces are constantly being added. On your own tour, you can also see the story of the entire history and creation of the LEGO brick. The museum is interactive, you will find more than 1.5 million LEGO bricks here.
The museum is located in the historical centre of the city of Tábor. The entire exhibition is located in the national cultural monument on Špitálské náměstí. In the historic building, on an area of more than 200m2, you can see an exhibition of LEGO sets from the collection of one collector.
Among the exhibits you can see the Statue of Liberty, Tower Bridge, Eiffel Tower or the Indian Taj Mahal. You can also see a replica of the Benes Villa, built from more than 20,000 LEGO bricks. The building is built in a scale of 1:42 and is a faithful copy of the original. Another interesting building is a 1:50 scale copy of the Tábor restaurant Střelnice, built from more than 100,000 LEGO bricks.
Among the oldest exhibits are the original wooden toys from the 1940s and 1950s or moulded plastic toys from the 1950s. The exhibits are not only among European but also among the world's uniqueness and rarities.
After the tour itself, children (and adults) can use the children's corner where they can "play" with LEGO bricks.
A visit to the museum can be concluded with a purchase in the shop where LEGO sets, not commonly sold in the Czech Republic's retail chains, are offered.
