Traditional Easter celebration on Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice, associated with a parade of rattlers through the streets of the city and the carving of wooden crosses.
The Quest for Giant Easter Eggs and Easter at Hluboká - 3. April - 3. May
Go in search of giant Easter eggs painted with original motifs. Walking circuits will take you through Hluboka nad Vltavou and the immediate surroundings, and you can also play a Family Game with a map along the way and complete challenges along the way.
Easter Market at the Chateau - 4. April
Already a traditional event at the Vysoký Hrádek Chateau (NPP Temelín Information Centre). You can look forward to a craft market, competitions for children, an Easter trail, a bouncy castle, a climbing wall, raft rides on the pond and much more.
Easter in Park Hluboká - 4. April
Enjoy the Easter holidays to the fullest in the Hluboká Park, where a lot of attractions await you - giant inflatable trampolines, mini golf, rope park and children's rope course, ferrata with equipment rental and beach volleyball with a view of the castle. After an active day you can relax in the restaurant, café or with a cocktail in the Aloha Bar. There will also be Easter creative workshops and a special Easter drink offer.

A pleasant meeting of lovers of handicraft products and homemade delicacies will take place at the Kněžínek microbrewery. Visitors can look forward to stalls with original jewellery, decorations, handbags, gingerbread, candles or even homemade kombucha and sourdough bread. Live music performed by the guitar duo Marquitars will add to the atmosphere, and there will be horse-drawn carriage rides for children and adults alike.

In the heart of České Budějovice, traditional crafts and production await you at the Spring Fair. Vendors of traditional Czech products and dozens of craftsmen will be present with original goods. Staroceske Easter on Piaristický náměstí, in Panská and Hroznová Street - 29. March
Traditional event on Piaristický náměstí, in Panská and Hroznová Street. The popular Old Bohemian Easter takes place here. You can expect demonstrations, sale of handicraft products of folk crafts and performances of folklore, folk and art groups. You can look forward to approximately 80 vendors of various crafts such as painted Easter eggs, pomlaki, baskets, ceramics, handmade jewellery, batik with original painting, carvers, modelled ceramics, hand-blown glass, soaps, sewn toys, gingerbread decorations, hand-woven textiles, leather products and more.
Easter Market Hluboká nad Vltavou - 3. April
A small Easter market in the center of Hluboká nad Vltavou. You will have the opportunity to buy Easter items, knit a pomlaza and above all buy maps for the trail to the giant Easter eggs. You can look forward to a charity bazaar, a creative workshop, Easter-themed stalls and more.
Easter festivities Koloděje nad Lužnicí - 5. April
Easter festivities in the Resort Koloděje. There will be Easter-themed stalls, competitions for children and adults, a stage and music, plenty of food and drink. Entrance is free.
Traditional Easter Fair on Dobrá Voda near České Budějovice - from 3. to 6. April
The largest pilgrimage in South Bohemia is traditionally held in the vicinity of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Dobrá Voda. An Easter Fair with stalls almost 800 metres long with a range of products from craftsmen and traders, including good refreshments, awaits you. There will be rides, carousels and other attractions that your children will appreciate.
Easter Concert by South Bohemian Theatre - 3. April
Easter is a time of pause. A return to ourselves, an opportunity to turn pain and loss into reconciliation and hope. That is why the JD Opera Company will be performing one of the most beautiful cantatas on Good Friday, in which the tradition of Czech Baroque music comes alive with folk elements. With the melodic beauty of Dvořák's music, rise to the heavens and let even your deepest sorrows shine through. Stabat Mater is made for these moments.
Easter is the most important Christian holiday, and therefore the traditional church ceremonies that are typical of the season must not be missed. For the spiritual dimension of Easter you can visit the Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Hluboká nad Vltavou or the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul in Hosín.
