Šumava from the ski jump tower in Zadov

The unique lookout tower in Zadov has been given a new coat and is once again open to tourists. After many years of disrepair, during which the structure faced demolition, the Czech Union of Sport secured funding for its renovation. The lookout is unique because it is an original ski jump tower from 1978. A new feature is the climbing wall on the southwest side of the tower. In summer, the Zadov-Kobyla cable car to the tower is in operation, and there is a snack stand and children’s playground available.

Open daily in season (July–September), off-season only on weekends and holidays.

Access: From Churáňov to the lookout via the blue Zadov tourist circuit or cycling route no. 1203, which runs close to the tower (about 1 km south of Churáňov). The cable car can be used. At the top of the tower, you can enjoy refreshments at a café.
